My experience to date

From the start of my career, I’ve worked in consulting. In 2019, I joined the innovation team at Tata Consultancy Services, where I worked on health tech, retail, and employee onboarding projects. Almost two years later, in 2021, I started at Capgemini Invent, where I’ve been working on UK Government digital transformation projects.

My experience has ranged from contributing to design systems in improving key interactions and components, all the way to designing and taking products from 0 to 1. One example is the Attendance Allowance service for DWP, which has been nominated for Best Public Sector Digital Project by the Computing Digital Technology Leaders Award 2024. 

In addition to my design experience, I’ve been heavily involved in user research, both to inform the design and transformation strategies. 

At the moment, I’m developing my leadership skills, leading the design stream of the latest projects I’ve been part of. My core values in leading my teams are transparency, empathy and positivity. 

Outside of my designer role, I manage 4 other designers and guide them in their career progression, lead the UX community the DWP account, and the growth pillar for UX design.

My design process

I start my projects or tasks by building an empathic connection with the user that will eventually interact with my designs, and by getting immersed in the context and the insight. 

During the process, I enjoy experimenting constantly and challenging myself to move towards better design. Research, accessibility and testing are therefore at the forefront of my design process and decision-making.

I’m used to confronting complex processes, working with my team and end-users to tackle these and get the best solution possible. 

What I can bring to the table

What I look for in my next role

- A good challenge: including, but not limited to, technically complex, new technologies, central to the value proposition of the product.
- Continuous learning: in hard and soft skills (e.g. new frameworks, product psychology, managing a team) and a team of highly competent people who share my mindset.
- Constructive feedback, to continue growing.
- A culture where people trust and care for each other, and push for excellence.
